Autagua Creek Craft House Sign
In downtown Prattville, AL there is a craft beer house called, Autagua Creek Craft House. It’s a regular spot for Clay and I, and it’s new to the area as I write this. There is a rustic down home charm to the place with handmade pallet wood tables and chairs and tin walls.
After a few trips to the craft house, my husband and I thought a wood burned sign would be a great match for the place. They have a great round logo with a bottle cap in the middle.
Clay created the wood board by gluing three poplar boards together and sanding it down to a smooth finish. Once it was ready, I started sketching out the logo and burning.
After the burn was complete, Clay stained it with a Golden Pecan color that really brought out the burn and added a touch of red color to the grain. He then lacquered the board with several coats and it was complete.
Watch the video below to see us in action with the project. We had the most fun creating this piece and the owners of the Autagua Creek Craft House loved it. We are so glad their business is part of the downtown Prattville area and we plan on being long time customers.
